Appointments by default will be scheduled for 15 minutes.
If however you feel that your appointment may require longer (e.g. Cervical Screening, medical reports, counselling, etc.) please let us know when booking.
Urgent or emergency cases will be seen as soon as possible. It is important that you let our receptionists know how urgent the problem is in order to prioritise appointments appropriately.
We ask that you keep us notified of your home, work, mobile numbers and email address so that we can contact you promptly if needed.
This information also allows us to send you an SMS or email the day before to remind you of your appointment.

We try to manage all appointments as punctually as possible. However, due to the unpredictable nature of a medical surgery – doctors do frequently run behind time. We regret any inconvenience caused due to these delays. Please feel free to contact our surgery staff to confirm whether your doctor is running on time BEFORE you arrive for your appointment.
Should you no longer require your appointment please let us know. We do charge a NO SHOW fee if you do not arrive for your appointment.

In order to monitor your health and fulfil our ethical and legal responsibilities, we require that you attend your doctor (or if your usual doctor is not available, one of the other doctors) in order to receive further prescriptions for your medications.
Whatever your preferred language, we can help you arrange an interpreter to assist with any language barriers. We also arrange interpreters through NABS, National Auslan Interpreter Service, for our deaf patients.
This medical practice uses the Telephone Interpreter Service 1300 131 450 when required. We can arrange an “over the phone” service or an “on site” service with 48 hours notice.

Our practice can provide Health Assessments & Care Plans at appointments when you see your regular doctor.
Results are reviewed by the doctors and acted upon in a timely manner with your health in mind. We will contact you if necessary.
Should you wish to speak to our doctors, the reception staff will take a message and your call will usually be returned during the course of the working day.
If the matter is urgent, the staff will advise the doctor and they will speak with you as soon as possible.

Dr Heyne has worked as a GP in Bald Hills for the past 22 years and has many families in which she cares for three to four generations of its family members. She finds this aspect of her work most rewarding.
Her focus is on keeping people healthy and listening to their concerns to ensure holistic, personalised health care is provided. She takes time to educate patients about health matters to enable patients to be actively engaged in decision making in relation to their health care.
She has a special interest in antenatal care and thereafter following both baby and mother’s health post partum period, which can be tricky to navigate.

Dr Kalas has also worked in Bald Hills as a GP for the past 22 years and has many families who have been seeing him for over 25 years.
He is committed to educating patients and empowering them to maintain their health and quality of life by adopting healthy lifestyles. An important aspect of this is setting up Chronic Disease Management Plans to ensure coordinated comprehensive care.
He has had extensive surgical experience and training and has a special interest in comprehensive skin cancer checks and treatment (both surgical and non -surgical).
Mens’ health checks are an important part of his focus, including the mental health assessments and treatment.

Dr Michelle Bond joins the team after working as a GP in Narangba. She is a graduate of Deakin University and undertook her general practice training in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, achieving RAGGP fellowship in 2018. Since then, she has completed a Diploma of Child Health, Focused Psychological Strategies Skills Training, and holds the Family Planning Alliance Australia National Certificate in Reproductive & Sexual Health.
She celebrates any opportunity to promote health and prevent disease. She believes that a GP should be a clinician, a confidante and an advocate for their patients.
Michelle works part time as she juggles working with caring for her young family.
